Cookie Policy

Version 1.1 · Effective July 12, 2026 · Last updated August 12, 2026

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser so it can remember something about your visit: a login, a preference, or (for analytics cookies) that your visit happened. This page lists what our sites actually use.

Our signup and event pages: no cookies

Our newsletter, resource, and event pages (the subdomains of nearshoreamericas.com where you sign up for things) set no cookies of their own. Some of them use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-free measurement service that counts visits in aggregate (pages, countries, browsers) and stores nothing on your device, identifies no individual visitor, and does no cross-site tracking. Their forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which evaluates your browser session invisibly for security and may use its own technical mechanisms to do so; these fall under strictly necessary use.

nearshoreamericas.com: analytics, behind a consent banner

The main Nearshore Americas site uses Google Analytics to understand readership in aggregate. Its cookies are set only according to the choice you make in the site’s consent banner, and you can change that choice at any time from the banner’s settings. The site also loads Google reCAPTCHA on some forms, which sets Google cookies for bot protection; Google’s own privacy terms apply to both (policies.google.com/privacy).

Embedded videos: the video host’s cookies

Articles across our sites embed videos hosted by YouTube (a Google service) and occasionally Vimeo. When a video loads or you press play, the video host may set its own cookies in your browser to run the player, remember your playback settings, and prevent abuse. Those cookies are the video host’s, not ours, and its own privacy terms apply (policies.google.com/privacy, vimeo.com/privacy). We see nothing from them about you as an individual, only aggregate viewing statistics.

Managing cookies

Use the consent banner on nearshoreamericas.com to change your analytics choice. Every browser also lets you view, block, or delete cookies in its settings; blocking strictly necessary mechanisms may stop forms from working, because they are what keeps the bots out.
